It's finally Hometowns! Episode 6 of The Golden Bachelorette had Joan flying around the country (mostly the Midwest) to visit the families of her final four men. Let's get to the best and worst moments of episode 6!

1. Best moment: Joan and Tom

THOMAS H.
THE GOLDEN BACHELORETTE - DisneyÕs ÒThe Golden BacheloretteÓ stars Thomas. (Disney/Ricky Middlesworth) /

Joan travels to the lovely Wichita, Kansas to visit Chock and his family. It’s a great Hometown date, but one moment in particular really stood out! As we know, Chock was engaged to a woman named Kathy for many years, who passed away.

Joan and Chock's connection seems strengthened by the fact that they’ve both lost their partners. While in Chock’s hometown, Joan gets a chance to chat with Tom, Kathy’s father. Chock is still very close to him. This moment was so touching!

Tom told Joan that he really hoped she would pick Chock. It is so sweet how Tom is rooting so hard for Chock to be happy.

Hometowns exemplify the best of what The Golden Bachelorette has to offer. Each Hometown date is such a concentrated dose of humanity and familial love, and we see so many sides to each contestant that we don’t get a chance to see elsewhere.

What’s more, the experience really gives each family the opportunity to voice how much they mean to each other!

2. Worst moment: Joan and Jordan

JORDAN H.
THE GOLDEN BACHELORETTE - DisneyÕs ÒThe Golden BacheloretteÓ stars Jordan. (Disney/Ricky Middlesworth) /

Jordan is lovely. Joan is lovely. But none of us bought that Jordan stood even the slightest chance of making it past Hometowns, so this date just felt patronizing.

And this constant storyline that Jordan (and Pascal) are somehow noncommittal… I’m just not buying it. Joan certainly isn’t planning on committing to them! Why can’t it just be that the connection isn’t strong enough? Why does the idea that someone isn’t doing enough have to be pushed on us?

Unsurprisingly, Jordan is sent home at the Rose Ceremony. There was barely a limo exit!

In any case, I’m glad Jordan seems to be okay with his exit. If there ever ends up being a Golden Bachelor in Paradise, I’d love to see him on it!

The Golden Bachelorette airs Wednesdays on ABC at 8 PM EST and is available on Hulu the following day.
