Love is Blind Season 7: Which couples will get married?
It's finally here! In what is my favorite time of year, the season premiere of Love is Blind season 7 has dropped. The show is set in Washington, D.C., this time around, and word on the street is a whopping seven couples got engaged, though only six have made it to our screens so far. Let's look at where the couples stand after the first six episodes that dropped Wednesday, October 2nd, and see where they stand and how far we think they'll go in the experiment.
Love triangle 1: Brittany/Hannah/Leo
Leo had me screaming at my TV more than any other eligible single in the history of this show. From the jump 31-year-old art deal, Leo Braudy did himself no favors endearing himself to fans. He started by not so casually dropping hints about his inheritance every chance he got while claiming he didn't want women to want him for his money. A kind and gentle suggestion, dear Leo: stop talking about it every 30 seconds. It got worse when the smooth talker tried manipulating both 33-year-old esthetician and self-proclaimed trophy wife Brittany Wisniewski and baby faced 26-year-old medical sales rep, Hannah Jiles, waffling back and forth between who he would choose, depending on who wanted him less at that moment. We always want what we can't have.
Leo finally "chose" Brittany after a 'mutual breakup'—which was really just Leo begging Hannah to change her mind—and he proposed to her. Brittany, for some reason, after reading Leo a letter about not wanting to be his second choice, accepted. OK? After a very awkward reveal and some back and forth about whether they'd rather vacation in Miami or Mexico, they are never seen again. No explanation. Nada.
Odds of saying I do? -1000000
Love triangle 2: Marissa/Bohdan/Ramses
Next to choose between two eligible singles was 32-year-old lawyer Marissa George. Her connections were my pod pick, 36-year-old tech sales rep Bohdan Olinares (call me!), and 35-year-old program associate Ramses Prashad. While both of her connections seemed like stand-up guys and opened up to her, ultimately, Marissa dumped Bohdan in the least dramatic breakup in dating show history and chose Ramses to propose.
I love these two. Their connection seems fun and light-hearted, and they both seem like genuine individuals ready for true love. Based on the previews, these love birds have trouble in paradise. Will Marissa's open, bubbly personality be too much for the laid-back Ramses? Or maybe Ramses' work in social justice reform will prevent the two of them from seeing eye to eye in the long term? I don't know, but I'm rooting for them.

Hannah Jiles and Nick Dorka
Oh, Hannah. I just want to hug you and tell you to go home. She seems very sweet, but in my opinion, she is not ready for marriage. I can't blame her—26 is still so young! Regardless, after letting the other women get in her head and dumping 29-year-old realtor and former NFL player Nick, she returns the next day to continue their relationship.
Though Leo *almost* gets in her head and convinces her to run off into the Mexico sunset with him, Hannah does herself at least one favor and chooses Nick instead. Their reveal is more awkward than most. It seems like in true Love is Blind fashion, celebrity lookalikes are a bad way to describe yourselves in the pods. Nick does not like Travis Kelce or Henry Cavill, much to Hannah's dismay, and is shorter than she'd hoped. Regardless, the two rally and head off to Mexico.
It's immediately apparent that Nick's goofy, fun-loving personality will be dimmed a bit by Hannah from the start. She is not down to go duck riding, jealous of a woman far older than her who is just joking around with her new fiancee and makes a list that also becomes the episode title, 10 Things I Hate About You. The most surprising thing on the list is that Nick is delusional. What are we missing here? Dorky, sure. Awkward, definitely. But delusional? Have a mai tai, girl!
Odds of saying I do? 10% I sure as heck hope not.
Ashley Adionser and Tyler Francis
At first glance, I think these two are a sure bet. They only had eyes from each other from their first date and seemed to bond deeply. Tyler sang Ashley's praises every chance he got, and Ashley confidently stated they were both a hard "yes" already at the couple's meet and greet.
Tyler and Ashley get my vote as season's least dramatic couple so far. Knowing Love is Blind, they will surely face some kind of challenge, whether it's organic or more produced (I'm looking at you, season 6 birth control debate). Regardless, they seem very even keeled and dare I say normal. Please, please, please give us one sure bet. We're rooting for you!

Alexandra "Alex" Byrd and Tim Godbee
These two had a very deep pod connection. Tim even gave Alex a bracelet from his late sister to unofficially welcome her into the family. Even though Tim had the "dawg" in him so much Alex got a bit of the ick at their reveal, they seem to be one of the strongest of the six couples that got engaged through a wall.
Something happened behind the scenes, though, and it seems the going got rough. Realllyyyy rough. So rough, Tim chose to stay in a separate hotel room their second night of vacation after the couple's meet up. While we don't know exactly what went down, the last episode ended with Alex trying to hug Tim and him looking checked out off into the distance. While I hope it's not the end for them, something serious obviously went down for the couple to have hit the rocks so fast.
Odds of saying I do? 20%
Taylor Krause and Garrett Josemans
It seems like 30-year-old policy consultant Taylor and 33-year-old quantum physicist Garrett are the fan favorites. Their connection ranges from goofy and light-hearted to open about deep, difficult topics. They have compatible senses of humor, and after a minor speed bump dodging questions about looks and heritage, the couple successfully navigated their way to an engagement.
They appear to be smitten kittens, from their pod chess date to sunflowers and paddleboarding on vacation. Their energies match well. While they admit they haven't done the deed on their pre-honeymoon yet, it doesn't seem to be for a lack of physical chemistry. We're rooting for you, we are all rooting for you!
Odds of saying I do? 85%
Monica Davis and Stephen Richardson
I don't know what Stephen did to producers, but his very first introduction to fans, his story about emotional cheating, was an interesting set-up. I wasn't sure how he'd recover from that, but Monica apologized to Stephen for having gone through the experience. Oh, how the turn tables.
Even though he dropped a bomb during his first 30 seconds on international television, it didn't phase his future fiancee, Monica, into swooning over the 34-year-old electrician. While she admitted she previously was stuck on the importance of job titles and education, the Love is Blind experiment opened her eyes to connecting with blue-eyed, blue-collar Stephen.
Stephen is just as equally smitten with Monica. Their banter is adorable; there is a very obvious and publicly stated physical attraction. I've never heard the "b" word uttered so much outside of a frat party. He also lets the world know he is waxed and ready for whatever comes his way or their way. On vacation.
The couple does have a minor disagreement when chatty Cathy Stephen cannot stop talking long enough for Monica to get a word in, but if that's the worst that happens between them, they'll probably be fine. Right? RIGHT?!
Odds of saying I do: 40/60
