Love is Blind Season 7: Why We Think Brittany and Leo Weren't Picked To Go to Cabo

The pods are open in Washington, D.C., for season 7 of Love is Blind. The season has jumpstarted with lots of love and drama, and some strange things are happening in the pods. We've had several firsts this season so far, but for the first time, we saw a couple get engaged on-screen but didn't get picked to go to the next phase of the experiment. We share why producers didn't pick Leo and Brittany to go to Cabo.

Over the years, we have heard about couples getting engaged in the pods, but this is not shown on the show. Heck, we even had a couple get married and go through the entire experience, but it was edited out of the show. However, these things have yet to be discussed on the show itself. Leo and Brittany got engaged in the pods, but shortly after, producers put a note on the screen saying they weren't picked to head to the next phase.

What happened in the pods?

Leo found himself in the love triangle between Hannah and Brittany. However, Hannah and Nick decided they were the ones for each other, and she headed into the pods to break up with him. This led to our first ever BEGGING by someone to not break up with them. I felt awful for Hannah because Leo put her in a bad spot. Of course, the two talked the following day and broke things off.

What happened with Leo and Brittany?

Brittany, who rightfully felt like a second choice in the pods, was about to break up with Leo, but for some reason, after a few sweet words from Leo, she said yes to his proposal. Of course, the next phase was the reveal, which was one of the worst we had ever seen. Brittany enamored Leo because of her looks, but she felt awkward and out of place.

They were the last engagement shown on the show, and the producers put up a note stating that they weren't one of the couples being sent to the part of the experiment to Cabo. It followed, saying the two went to Miami and broke up a few weeks later.

Why did the producers not pick them?

In the pods, we heard Leo talk about how he had money, while Brittany said she wanted to be a trophy wife. The latter might have been taken out of context a bit, but Leo loved talking about being rich. That said, Leo gave me those Matt vibes from last season with AD, and it almost felt like he was making a scene to garner more screen time.

I give Leo a lot of credit because it worked for his time in the pods, as he was on a lot in the first batch of episodes. However, the producers noticed his movements, and I even think Brittany said yes, hoping to move to the next phase. As a result of their actions, I believe the producers decided to pass on wasting time and money, and rightfully so.
