No matter how smooth the pods go and even Cabo, we know that things can go awry when the couples begin to live together and adapt to the real world. In Season 7 of Love is Blind, we have already seen one engaged couple break up (Leo and Brittany off-air), and in the second batch of the season, a second couple bit the dust. Why did Stephen and Monica break up? We share all the details of what happened below.

One thing we noticed in this season of Love is Blind is that we are getting many off-screen fights. We saw it with Tim and Ashley, Ashley and Tyler, and Stephen and Monica. Now, this could be for a few reasons: they are not filming at the time like we saw with Brittany and Kenneth, or they are protecting the cast from backlash. Either way, I have noticed many people want to see the fights, but I can also understand why they'd choose not to air them.

These two were solid in the pods, and we never saw them talk much to anyone else. Things clicked, they started to like one another and quickly got engaged. In Cabo, you could see a little frustration building with Stephen being overly talkative and not allowing Monica to speak or get a word in. At first, this seemed like something you could play off a little and move on, but it became increasingly alarming.

When they moved in, Stephen had a level of immaturity about him that you could tell annoyed Monica. Another thing that began to frustrate Monica was the promise of buying her flowers, which hadn't come to fruition outside of the pods. The simple jester not happening was a huge red flag, and Stephen reacting to it as if it were not a big thing was wild.

At the beginning of episode eight, we see Taylor and Monica sitting together on the couch, and she is upset. Again, something happens off-camera that we don't see, which turns this engagement completely upside down. Shoutout to Taylor for coming to her side.

Monica confronts Stephen about the situation, asking where he was the night before as he said he was at a sleep study. He said he was, but Monica reveals that at this sleep study, he was texting some girl kinky stuff (If you could've seen the reaction on my face, I was floored). Stephen attempted to say he got drunk and knew what he did was wrong.

As we know, Monica had been holding down the fort for everything because Stephen was currently out of work. So, she stood on business and told him to Venmo (Right that second) for everything she had taken care of since moving in. Even heartbroken at that moment, Monica stood tall and carried herself amazingly. Stephen fumbled the bag here, and I don't feel bad for him.

Love is Blind Season 7, Episodes 1-9, are streaming on Netflix.
