The Golden Bachelorette Finale Part 1: Best and Worst moments
By Julia Wagner
It's hard to believe The Golden Bachelorette is nearing the end of the season. There are fewer episodes, but the season just flew by because it was so enjoyable! Let's get to the best and worst moments of the Finale: Part One!
1. Best moment: Jesse Palmer chats
Guy, Chock, and Pascal each get a chance to chat with Jesse Palmer throughout this episode.
Maybe it’s the male bonding, but these chats really helped us get to know these men more!
Chock talked about how much he loves Joan, revealing he’s fully in love with her (had he even said that to Joan yet at this point?). Guy also opened up about how invested he is.
The true gem of the episode came when Pascal spoke with Jesse.
I swear, we got to know Pascal more in these few minutes than we have the entire season, and my estimation of him rose tenfold!
Pascal reveals that he is struggling to let his walls down and feel invested in the process. He reveals that he did not have an easy upbringing, and had to take care of himself because there was nobody else there to do it.
They even spoke French to each other! A Jesse Palmer chat is the gift that keeps on giving.
2. Worst moment: Pascal leaves
Okay, so this was a great moment for television’s sake, but a very sad moment for Joan.
After a one-on-one date where Pascal and Joan participate in a bonding ceremony, Pascal sits down for “dinner” with Joan and begins to tell her he has to leave the show.
He starts by asking her why he’s still there and what she sees in him. This is a valid question, but I couldn’t believe he hadn’t asked it before. I also wondered if this was pouring salt in the wound, getting Joan to open up about why she likes him, only to then tell her he doesn’t return those feelings.
Even though this moment was very sad, there’s no denying that Pascal almost single-handedly carried this episode.
Pascal for Golden Bachelor?
