Two Couples Leave Season 3 of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On

Who doesn't love drama? As reality TV fans, we thrive when you get the drama on our screens. The first batch of season 3 of the popular Netflix reality TV show The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On was released, and we had a CRAZY moment unfold. As the couples set into the trial marriage aspect of the experiment, we see two couples pack their bags and leave the show.

In the first batch of episodes, the couples "break up" with their significant other and start a trial marriage with one of the other singles on the show. Once the decision is made, the new couples move in with one another to see what a marriage would look like. This allows them to explore things in the other person to see if there are holes in their past relationship that could help guide them to making the right decision.

Chanel (ultimatum giver) - 27 - Micah 28

We saw Chanel match up with Dave, and this relationship definitely felt platonic. Their cute little turnaround and smile connected them deeper as Dave struggled with watching Vanessa connect with Nick. As for Micah, he made a connection with Mariah, which felt quite similar to what we saw with Chanel and Dave, with them being nothing more than friends.

Vanessa (ultimatum giver) 30 and Dave 34

As I mentioned, Dave connected with Chanel, and it felt like they would be great friends in the experiment. On the flipside, Vanessa connected pretty deeply with Nick. Nick was down in the dumps watching Sandy do her thing, but Vanessa was feeling Nick quite a bit. So what happened next shocked me.

A black screen popped up, and it said Dave, Vanessa, Micah, and Chanel had secretly met off-camera and decided to leave the experiment. We saw a montage of them packing up their things and leaving. They didn't share any explanation or let us know why they left, but they said that they were gone and had ended their experience.

Of course, this came off as quite a shock because you would think they are liable at some point for wasting production time and signing contracts. You know what you are signing up for, and this isn't the first season. Much like Sandy talking about her disappointment with Nick trying to altar her experience with J.R., their leaving hinders things for everyone. I hope at some point in the reunion, we get clear answers, but until then, I can't believe they just bolted.
