1. Season 20: Ben Higgins
Ben was an obvious choice for Bachelor– classic good looks, good head on his shoulder, etc. But Ben turned out to be way more dynamic and engaging than his time on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season gave him credit for!
Ben had a great instinct about people– he navigated the house drama (fairly) smoothly, he spoke with a lot of insight about what he wanted in a partner, and he gave the best speeches!
But what really made Ben’s season a shining star was the women.
Season 20 launched some of the biggest names in Bachelor Nation: Jojo Fletcher, Lauren Bushnell, Amanda Stanton, and Caila Quinn. And that’s just the final four!
This season did have a couple of flaws. There was an underdeveloped drama (a random feud between Leah and Lauren that we never got the full context of). Also, Ben was not held accountable nearly enough for telling the final two women he was in love with them. But that has come to be common practice now anyway, so, oh well. Don’t hate the player, hate the game!
2. Season 15: Brad Womack Part 2
Okay, this may be an unpopular pick. But Brad Womack getting a second chance at love after rejecting both women on his first season? It made for a very interesting Season 15.
The best part: Brad actually had a therapist work with him throughout the season, due to his “commitment issues.” I guess if you can’t fall in love on The Bachelor, there’s something wrong with you!
Again, though, what really made this season special was the women.
Season 15 gave us some of the best women to ever grace our screens.
We got a true gem with Ashley Hebert, the dentist from Maine who went on to become Bachelorette.
We also got fan favorite Emily Maynard, who was also named Bachelorette, the season after Ashley!
3. Season 22: Arie Luyendyk Jr.
People may have their opinions about Arie, but this season gave us SO much! For starters, it was great to see the producers reach into the past and pull a lead from a more "vintage" season of The Bachelorette.
We got Becca Kufrin! Who was heartbroken in a crazy “unedited” breakup scene but went on to become Bachelorette royalty.
Bekah Martinez was one of the most entertaining 22-year-olds ever to be on the show.
Kendall Long, who went on to become one half of a Bachelor Nation power couple with Grocery Store Joe (for a time at least).
Lauren Burnham, who is happily married to Arie to this day!
We also had a truly wonderful “villain” this season in the form of Krystal Nielson. Who can forget the infamous bowling group date? Krystal was such a joy to watch.
Never forget all the Bachelor seasons that brought us to where we are now! Let’s hope Grant’s season lives up to its predecessors!
