ABC has such a huge hit on their hands with The Gold Bachelorette as it has audiences of all ages tuning in weekly. This week’s episode of The Golden Bachelorette was so feel-good and wholesome! There were some sad moments, but we got many moments of men supporting men, a strip show/cancer charity event, and lots of romantic connections! All in all, a very nice episode. Let’s get to the best and worst moments of The Golden Bachelorette episode 4!

Worst Moment: Chock Leaves

Okay, so he ended up returning later in the episode, but his moment was so sad! Chock receives word that his mother has died, and it is so sad. The other contestants even cry about it in their ITMs!

Chock and Joan relate about feeling guilty they weren’t there when loved ones died. He tells her he must leave to go handle everything back home and deal with his grief.

Chock really has become such a frontrunner. Joan mentions she hasn’t felt this way about anyone since her husband! This really was a reminder of how much contestants this age give up to come on a show like this. Most notably, time with family that they may not have much time left with.

Thankfully, Chock returns at the Rose Ceremony!

Best Moment: Guy's Date

I love Guy! He’s such a good guy. Guy and Joan cook dinner for their one on one, bonding over the importance of family dinners. Guy even learns how to zest a lemon!

He also reveals he was with his wife for over 30 years before they got divorced! Fascinating. He says they had “spent 30 years trying not to hurt each other’s feelings.” Sounds like a lot of work!

Guy has been one of my favorites this season. He has such a good rapport with the other men, he’s an ER doctor, and he and Joan seem to have a great connection. At the end of the date, Guy gets the rose! Yay.

The Golden Bachelorette airs Wednesdays on ABC at 8 PM EST and is available on Hulu the following day.
