Temptation Island Finds Third Home With Netflix and could be coming soon.

Temptation Island debuted on FOX on January 10, 2001, and ran for three seasons through 2003. The series moved to the USA Network for five seasons, the most recent season being in 2023. It was announced earlier this year that Netflix picked up the series and will bring it out in 2025. If you've never watched Temptation Island, we will let you know what you can expect and even give you an idea of when you can check it out.

What is Temptation Island?

Four unmarried couples travel to a tropical island where their fidelity is tested. The couples are separated from one another for two weeks, where they are required to mingle with a group of single members of the opposite sex whose whole purpose is to persuade them to have an affair.

When it debuted, the series was one of the most controversial shows on TV, but the high ratings kept it on the air. There has been some success on the show with couples getting married, but the temptation is too much for many of the couples, with all eight couples in the last two seasons ending up breaking up before the reunion. The overall number of Temptation Island, out of 33 couples, 9 stayed together while the rest parted ways either during the show or shortly after.

The biggest thing will be if the mess is enough for people to tune in. As we've seen recently with Love is Blind, the lack of successful marriages hasn't changed how many people tune in, but the backlash has been a little louder than usual. I love Temptation Island, and I really think that the show can find a new audience on Netflix. It's messy, different, and a whole lot of fun. I don't believe the couples must "succeed" for Netflix to find themselves a new hit.

That said, Mark L. Wahlberg has been a great host for the show, and I hope they bring him back. He is one of the only "love-based" show hosts who genuinely cares about the people involved. If he isn't back, the new host will have some big shoes to fill.

When can viewers expect Temptation Island?

We can confirm that the show has already been shot and that the post-production stages are ongoing. Of course, when the cast for the third season of Perfect Match leaked, it was revealed that several cast members from Temptation Island are on the show.

So, if I were a betting man, I would say we can expect Temptation Island at the top of the year, around the same time that The Trust debuted last year, to fill the gap between The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On and the upcoming eighth season of Love is Blind, which debuts on Valentine's Day.
