Shocking revelations and big news from the original Love is Blind cast.

The first episode of Love is Blind stars Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton premiered this week, with very special guests, their co-stars and friends Amber Pike and Matt Barnett. In addition to an announcement from Amber and Matt, the couples shared their controversial opinions on what the audience sees versus the reality of dating in the pods and being married on one of the biggest reality TV shows in the world.

Love is Blind OG couple Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton officially launched their podcast, Love Seat this week. They kicked it off with a huge announcement from their friends and first official guests, fellow season 1 Love is Blind couple Amber and Matt Barnett. If you don't want to watch the whole episode, I've got your back. I watched it, so you don't have to: Love Seat episode 1.

A big announcement

I'll start out with the biggest news from the first episode of The Love Seat. Lauren and Cameron's guests were Amber and Matt, also from season 1 of Love is Blind. If you follow them post-show, you know their journey is very different from that of Lauren and Cameron. The Hamiltons love the spotlight and frequently appear at red-carpet events. Amber and Matt are more low-key, and they like to travel and avoid talking about the show.

That's why I was shocked they would associate with anything even vaguely related to the show. I know the Barnetts are friends with Lauren and Cameron, but I didn't know they were tight enough to break big news on the launch of their podcast.

The big announcement is Amber and Matt Barnett are going to be parents! That's the biggest and most important takeaway from the show's first episode. And whether or not the baby was conceived during Cameron's birthday party.

Clearing the air

Amber and Barnett opened the show getting some of the biggest misconceptions off their chests about how they appeared on the show. Here are the biggest takeaways.

Matt is not a player

Matt Barnett is not a f- boy. He's just awkward around women. Amber and Lauren were roommates when filming, and Lauren agreed that from Amber's side of things, he came off more mysterious and a bit awkward.

Amber is fed up with social media

She is understandably frustrated with her edit. A lot of fans called her a gold digger and other insults because of a discussion she had with Matt prior to getting married about her student loans and debt. Amber felt like they didn't show the story of how they fell in love.

Speaking of student loans

Barnett paid off his own student loans when he sold his house, not Amber's student loans. Amber called Executive Producer Chris Coelen petty. PETTY! I love how real they are. Those NDAs definitely expired. They made them repeat their conversations and topics like finances that weren't a huge deal in their relationship over and over again.

Lauren and Cameron said they felt the same way about race being a forced issue in their relationship. It wasn't a big deal, and the show pushed the narrative telling the couples it would make them more relatable to the audience. Fair to say, I cannot relate to their struggles as I would never go on a reality show to find love.

Amber didn't want to do After the Altar

Amber had to be talked into doing After the Altar and was pissed when the first episodes aired. She insisted in order to come on the reunion, that Jessica not be a huge focus of discussion about their relationship. The producers egged Amber on, and she said there wasn't as much drama as there appeared to be on the main show and during the reunion.

Reality TV isn't real?! I know, I know. Go watch Unreal on Netflix and thank me later.

The reunion was a set up for Perfect Match! The couples said there wasn't much real drama on their season, but it definitely didn't appear that way on TV. The love triangle wasn't real between Jessica, Amber and Barnett apparently. Production wouldn't let Barnett break up with Jessica until the last day. Allegedly. Please don't sue me Netflix.

Marriage advice

Now that they're celebrating their 6th anniversaries, Amber, Barnett, Lauren and Cameron talk about how their relationships have grown and changed since they met in the pods. You can really see how they've grown and matured through the years. Even if the drama was manufactured, their love stories are real.

Surprise marriages

Lauren didn't expect to get married going into the show. She didn't think she'd meet someone like Cameron. None of them were expecting the show to blow up the way it did when it came out. Neither did we, Lauren.

They did reveal they had psych evaluations during casting. Surprising given some of the cast we've seen over seven seasons, but now they have me doubting everything I know about Love is Blind. Adorably, Cameron dressed up in business attire for the evaluation. He was a bit intimidated by how good looking all the other cast members were. And there was a Matthew McConaughey lookalike who didn't make the cast! Why, Netflix, why?!

The next episode of The Love Seat features Love is Blind season 4's Tiffany Penny and Brett Brown. Can't wait to watch that one.
