The one couple from Love is Blind we're still sad didn't make it

Love is Blind has put us all through a whirlwind of events over the first six seasons. We all rooted for couples to make it to the altar and say yes, but there is one couple who didn't make it that still bugs me.

Since Netflix launched Love is Blind, we have experienced quite a bit of heartbreak. These couples prepare to get married sight unseen, but the obstacles placed in front of them, whether facing daily life or meeting families, see the couples fall apart. Many of them we've seen coming a mile away, but others left our jaw on the floor. There is one couple from the second season of Love is Blind that didn't make it, and I'm still sad about it.

Over the six seasons of Love is Blind, 31 couples have gotten engaged. We have had many great "I dos" with Brett and Tiffany, Lauren and Cameron, and, more recently, Tiffany and Amy. On the flip side, we've seen brutal moments at the altar with Cole and Zanib, Stacey and Izzy, and one that still has broken me — Shayne and Natalie.

I could've selected many couples, but it's Natalie and Shayne that still stings. This might not be the couple you were expecting from me, but I loved Shayne and wanted to see him happy. They weren't your prototypical couple, which was refreshing. These two matching and getting engaged are what make Love is Blind special. On the show, singles often say, "I wouldn't go for this person in the real world." The journey for Shayne and Natalie was rocky, but it was easy to root for them because they both had personality traits that made them likable.

What happened at the altar?

Heading into the wedding day, audiences felt these two had hashed out their differences, and they would say, "I do." However, Shayne said the words, but Natalie said, "I don't." In interviews, Natalie said she warned Shayne she planned on saying no because the duo had gotten into a big argument the night before their wedding.

Shayne and Natalie both talked about how they attempted to spark the fire from their time on the show but ultimately went their separate ways. After the breakup, it got ugly, Natalie spitting accusations at Shayne, claiming cheating and not treating her well, while Shayne exposed texts and pictures of Natalie saying the opposite. The two aren't on speaking terms anymore.

What are the two up to now?

Natalie has since launched the Out of the Pods podcast with former Love is Blind contestant Deepti. The popular show has led to them covering everything in reality TV, including interviews with cast members. The podcast has found much success, landing at the top of podcast charts.

As for Shayne, his personality's unpredictable nature made him even more of a star on Netflix's top-rated series Perfect Match. Outside of that, Shayne has continued to grow his brand and, more importantly, himself. After his mother's passing, Shayne has helped many people across the world, whether it's via video calls or messages, to help people grieving the loss of a loved one. While polarizing, Shayne is one of the most down-to-earth people I've ever talked to.
