In Feb. 2020, Netflix dove headfirst into a brand-new experimental love reality show called Love is Blind. Singles from Atlanta, Georgia, would enter the pods where they would interact with other people and get engaged sight unseen. Fast forward over four years later, and we have seen six seasons of engagements, drama, and wedding bells. It has become one of the most popular reality shows across the globe. We look at the first six seasons and rank them from worst to best.

You can go back all the way to 1965 when ABC launched The Dating Game as one of the first American reality dating TV shows. Since then, we have seen hundreds if not thousands of love-based reality shows like The Bachelor, Temptation Island, and Love at First Sight. We have seen creative shows, but Netflix and Kinetic Content delivered a unique experience by forcing singles to get to know one another. Love is Blind has been groundbreaking on many levels. We saw a live reunion go off the rails because of the number of people trying to watch it.

6. Love is Blind season 5

This season, based in Houston, Texas, almost made half the world give up on this show. We only had three engagements (that we saw), and Taylor and Jared did not make it out of Mexico because Jared was intimidated by Taylor putting on makeup. Stacy and Izzy were doomed from the start; she rightfully said no at the altar after Izzy said yes. This left us with Lydia and Milton, whose journey was filled with PLENTY of drama. We had the entire UCHE incident, which was odd and weird. Ultimately, Lydia and Milton said "I do" and are still happily married, but this season was far from good.

This season was quite a rollercoaster of a ride. We had one power couple in the pods, Brittany and Kenneth, who seemed destined to marry falter after reentering their daily lives. Jeramey and Laura did not work out because of a late-night visit to one of the other pod girls. Of course, we had Jimmy, who treated Chelsea like crap and did not make it. AD said yes at the altar, but Clay said no, which we saw coming a mile away.

The one bright spot from the show was Amy Cortes and Johnny McIntyre, who walked down the aisle and said, "I do." These two had incredible conversations in the pods about real-life stuff, and because of that, their journey was filled with joy, and we all rooted for them. The couple is still happily married.

Who does not remember the "Cuties" incident that sparked a massive conversation on social media? Were you Team Cole or Team Zanab? Either way, the way things went down at the altar, you could not help but feel sorry for Cole. For Nancy and Bartise, she said yes, and he said no, it seems like she dodged a bullet. (Although Bartise's transformation into a dad has been amazing to watch). Raven is a top-tier Love is Blind cast member and has thrived since she and SK split on the show and post-show.

While season 3 had drama, it did have success stories, with Alexa and Brennon and Colleen and Matt getting married. While Colleen and Matt have been lower-key since the show aired, Alexa and Brennon recently had their first child together. The third season is tied with season 1 with most marriages (2) still being together.

If we want to talk about dramatic wedding days, there is no more drama than in season 2 at the altar. At the forefront, we had Natalie and Shayne, who had a hot and cold journey on the show. The mysterious fight that happened off camera led to Natalie saying now at the altar. Since the show, the two have had many public battles about what did or did not happen. Both thrived on their own after the show aired.

Deepti and Shake were destined to break up the moment we all saw the two meet one another outside of the pods. Shaina and Kyle and Mallory and Salvador both ended up not working either. We did have two couples get married, but both have since divorced. First, we had Iyanna and Jarrette, who split because Iyanna said he cheated on her. Danielle and Nick split up more calmly, as they just went their separate ways. Currently, this is the only season that does not have a couple that is still together.

This will surely be a controversial opinion, but I have the first season of Love is Blind as number two on my list. I will explain why when talking about my number one. That said, season 1 was the introduction to this incredible experiment that has provided all of us with much entertainment over the last four years.

We had six couples get engaged, but the success story of Lauren and Cameron and Amber and Matthew is all we need to talk about. These two couples are going on six years of marriage and thriving more than ever. Lauren and Cameron were absolutely couple goals from the moment they entered the pods. These were the good old days when you felt like people were actually looking for love and not fame.

"Brett and Tiffany" is all I can say, and that is enough to tell you why season 5 is far and away the best. However, this season had an incredible balance of love and entertainment. We had our first mid-show couple swap with Zack and Irina breaking up and him getting engaged to Bliss. Jackie and Marshall provided some wild and entertaining moments while Paul and Micah were the odd couple, and we all knew they would not make it.

Zack and Bliss thrived after the show, and the couple introduced a baby into the world. Kwame and Chelsea took us on a whirlwind of emotions throughout the season, but they got married and seemed as happy as ever. And who does not remember when Tiffany fell asleep on Brett in the pods, and we all thought it was over between the two? I know I do; I rooted for these two to make it and watching them grow together through the journey was effortless. They are by far my favorite couple from this show.

Love is Blind season 7 premieres on Netflix on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
