Continuing our round-up of Love is Blind's biggest scandals, it's time to look back at seasons 2 and 3, which were based in Chicago and Dallas. From a break-up leading to a best-selling book, to bad diet advice, these seasons of Love is Blind delivered some awkward moments. Let's take a look.
Season 3, Andrew's Visine waterworks
Just in case you thought Andrew Liu's tears were genuine when Nancy rejected his proposal, not to worry. The Love is Blind producers had our backs, showing Andrew requesting Visine to make his emotions, or lack thereof, stand out on camera. If you've ever wondered if any of the cast are there to become famous, look no further.
You have to love it when producers troll the cast.
Season 3, Nancy's brothers want to brawl with Bartise
Nancy Rodriguez and Bartise Bowden's relationship got off to a rocky start. He tended to put his foot in his mouth with his fiancee. Not only did Bartise let Nancy know she wasn't his normal type, but he couldn't help but talk up someone he found more attractive, pod ex Raven Ross.
Once again, a dating show cast member can't seem to get out of their own way. We've seen it on The Bachelor, Married at First Sight, Love is Blind, and countless others. Bartise is a genuinely nice guy but wasn't ready for marriage. When he and Nancy broke up at the altar, Nancy's family was ready to throw down. Nancy has a very close relationship with her family, and her brothers wanted revenge. Luckily, no one was harmed in the making of this episode. Unless you count a few egos.
Season 2, Deepti and Shake break up at the altar
Initially, Shake Chatterjee and Deepti Vempati's engagement showed a lot of promise. The two had a steamy reveal, but that's where the attraction seemed to end. There was little chemistry once the couple left the pods, and despite sticking it out all the way to the altar, Shake and Deepti weren't meant to be.
Neither of these two were going to say yes at the altar, but Deepti went first, not only saying no but delivering one of the most memorable speeches in Love is Blind history, second only to Jess Vestal's EpiPen moment. The speech that led to a best-selling book and podcast with co-star Natalie Mina wasn't enough to phase Shake, though. He had reservations at Nobu to get to.
Shake did say Deepti was at the Nobu dinner as well, but Deepti did not reply for comment.
Season 2, Natalie/Shaina/Shayne love triangle
Sometimes the relationships are played up for dramatic effect on reality shows. Shocker, I know. The love triangle between Shayne, Shaina, and Natalie was a great example. Shayne got engaged to Natalie Mina. It seemed like despite being taken, Shayne Jansen and Shaina Hurley had several will they or won't they moments. In my opinion, they were never really going to rekindle what they had in the pods. Nevertheless, it was still a big story in season 2.
Shayne, Shayne, Shayne. Even if the love triangle wasn't as big as it seemed, he still delivered the drama. The rockiest romance to almost make it to the altar, Natalie Mina and Shayne thankfully broke up before making us sit through a painful wedding. In the first of many off-camera moments, something went down with Natalie and Shayne that led to a breakup, and it had nothing to do with Shaina.
