Love is Blind’s Aaliyah Reveals Truth About Uche and Lydia | Hanging With The Hamiltons

Previously, we recapped the biggest scandals from Love is Blind seasons 6 and 7. Today, we're going to reminisce on Love is Bind seasons 4 and 5. What memorable moments did the Love is Blind cast from Seattle and Houston leave us with? Let's take a look.

Season 5, Lydia and Uche dated

If you've ever wondered how the Love is Blind producers make sure exes don't end up on the show, we found out in season 5: They don't! Somehow, some way, the situationship between Lydia Vélez González and Uche Okoroha carried on into the pods.

When the Lydia recognized Uche's voice, she immediately let him know who he was and Uche...wasn't impressed. Despite Lydia possibly being open to reconnecting, the pod date was quickly cut short. The drama was just beginning, though. Lydia tried to hold out, but couldn't resist telling Uche's other connection, Aaliyah Cosby allllllll about Uche. His house, his lifestyle, even his dog! Aaliyah cut things off quickly and left the experiment solo.

Season 5, Chris ghosts Johnie

Johnie Maraist was part of a love triangle with her pod dates, Izzy Zapata and Chris Fox. She ended things with Chris, and when Izzy broke things off to get engaged to Stacy Snyder, Johnie also left the pods alone.

The Johnie-Chris love story didn't end there though. The two ended up sitting next to each other on the flight home (thank you, producers). While they did date for a short while, Chris straight up ghosted Johnie and got into a relationship with another woman. They did make up at the reunion but talk about awkward.

Season 5, Taylor and JP break up in Mexico

We've heard time and time again that men prefer a more natural look. What they say and what they think is natural, however, don't always add up. One case where a man truly does prefer makeup-free is Jared "JP" Pierce. After many attempts to connect, it was clear JP was awkward around the cameras and shut down on his honeymoon with fiancee Taylor Rue.

Things finally came to a head during a disagreement where JP straight up told Taylor to her face, that he...didn't like her face (with makeup). Taylor swiftly ended the relationship by dropping the engagement ring on the breakfast table the next morning. For the record, Taylor is gorgeous no matter what she wears or doesn't on her face. It sounds like JP was getting cold feet from the time he left the pods.

Season 4, Zack and Irina break up

Why Zack Goytowski chose Irina Solomonova over Bliss Poureetezadi in the first place never made sense. I certainly have chosen the wrong one before, but Bliss made you cupcakes, Zack! Irina didn't even remember it was Zack's birthday and had the audacity to try to grab some celebratory supplies from Bliss.

Bliss handled birthday-gate and the breakup with grace when Zack proposed to Irina. He didn't know about her mean girl ways with Micah Lussier vs the other women, but he quickly found out and completely regretted his decision. Irina couldn't even look him in the face without giggling awkwardly, no matter how serious the conversation was.

Zack truly did try, but thankfully, the two amicably broke up which lead to...

Season 4, Bliss and Zack get back together

Would you have given your ex of ten days a second chance and get married in a month? I don't usually recommend it, but if your love story ends like Bliss and Zack's, might as well give it a shot.

Zack asked Bliss to meet up when he got back from the pre-honeymoons in Mexico. Bliss accepted, and the two began dating, eventually getting engaged and going on to say I do at the altar. What's meant to be will be, and the couple got their happily ever after. They even welcomed a first generation Love is Blind baby, little Galileo in the spring of 2024.

Season 4, Jackie leaves Marshall for Josh *and* keeps the ring

Another one with the audacity, Jackalina Bonds initially said yes to pod connection Marshall Glaze's pod proposal. You could immediately see regrets, as Jackie was wary about Marshall from day one. The two couldn't see eye to eye on anything and argued almost constantly.

Jackie ended things with Marshall and when he asked her for the ring back, she said no. NO!!! Now, unless the ring goes above the show budget, production does pay for the rings. I don't know if Marshall shelled out anything additional for the ring, but either way, wild to keep a ring from a week-long engagement. Especially when you don't even finish packing your bags before getting with your ex.

That's right, it may have been seasons ago, but if you forgot, Jackie got back with her pod ex, Josh Demas. While they didn't ultimately work out, they did date for a decent amount of time post-pods.
