Can you believe that we have made it through another year? At the end of the year, we reflect on everything that happened throughout and put together a list of things that we want to do/see the following year. We have plenty to be happy about on the reality TV front, with a wide range of shows that keep us entertained. I present to you the three best reality TV shows of 2024.

What makes a great reality TV show? I've got three factors that go into making it happen. First, you have the entertainment factory. You've got to entertain us. Next, is what you are bringing to the table authentic? That is vital. Last, the cast has to be good. Which shows fit into that category this year? Here is my list.

I am lumping these together because regardless of the wild and crazy off-the-show events that unfolded, the show entertained, presented authenticity, and delivered a great cast. In Love is Blind season 6, our married couple, Johnny and Amy, delivers that authenticity as they find love beautifully. On the flip side, it delivered great cast members in AD, Chelsea, and, of course, quite possibly this year's reality TV MVP, Jessica Vestal.

For season 7, we got two married couples out of the experiment: Garrett and Taylor and Tyler and Ashley. Those two had highs and lows but found love in the pods. Nick rode the duck in the hearts of many. Also, can we talk about the fantastic ladies from the season? Marissa (along with her mother) was one of the season's MVPs, dodging a bullet, not walking down the aisle, and saying I do to Ramses. All the haters can zip it because I love Hannah and think she got the short end of the stick. Although we didn't get enough of Katie, she made a splash later in the season and in the reunion.

The Valley

One of the biggest reality TV debuts of 2024 was The Valley. The first episode was the most-watched premiere on Bravo in over ten years. The cast included Brittany Cartwright, Jax Taylor, Kristen Doute, Danny Booko, Jesse Lally, and more. We followed the couples as they navigated friendship, divorce, and lifestyles.

We witnessed the downfall of not one but two relationships. First, Brittany and Jax, who weren't broken up yet, went through it on this show. Jax, who isn't shy from controversy, showed the side we have seen in other shows he has been in, and it didn't come off great. On the flip side, Jesse and Michelle Lally announced their divorce ahead of the show, and we witnessed the downfall of their relationship.

The bright, positive side of this all was watching Kristen Doute seemingly find love with her new man, Luke Broderick. Although the other cast members weren't so welcoming, Luke stood on his own, and now the couple is thriving as they are engaged with a baby on the way. The show entertained, made us laugh, and had me ready to want to go through my TV and hurt Jesse for how he talked to people. I can't wait for season 2.

The Anonymous

We all love The Traitors and The Circle, and the producers of those shows delivered a new reality show for the USA Network, The Anonymous. Although the series isn't "dating-centric," we did see a love blossom with cast members Victoria and Christopher. A group of 12 participants lived together, competing for prize money while battling it out in anonymous mode.

The unique show was a breath of fresh air in the reality space that can get stale sometimes with the same type of shows being retread. It had the perfect blend of comedy, drama, and gameplay, and I hope we get a second season. If you missed the show, stream it now on Peacock.
