Golden Bachelorette Joan Vassos reveals she isn't moving in with Chock Chapple
By Ricky Valero
One of the biggest issues with the Golden Bachelor was the downfall of the marriage because Gerry and Theresa couldn't agree on their future living arrangements. Are Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple heading down the same path? After Chock proposes to Joan, it is revealed that the duo will not live together but will try to make things work long distances. We share everything they said and how they plan to make it work.
Chock got down on one knee and proposed to Joan in the season finale of The Golden Bachelorette, and happily ever after is in the future for the duo, right? Well, there is already speculation that these two will suffer the same fate because of their living arrangement. In an interview with People magazine, the duo said that moving in with one another isn't on the table right away.
Throughout the season, Joan specifically says that she doesn't want to move away from her home in Maryland. Chock, who lives in Kansas, doesn't seem to be worried about making it work as they plan on making the distance work. Here is what he said in the interview:
"We're going back and forth between Kansas to Maryland and New York," Chock explained. "We'll have a full-time place in New York, and when they can, they will be there. We're going to get it figured out this next year."
On the surface, it might sound like a disaster, but Joan and Chock have discussed this and have a plan. They've had time to discuss it all as the show was airing, and having a plan is more than Gerry and Theresa had, meaning they could make this work. The big thing will be sticking to and executing the plan to make it worthwhile for both sides.
At the end of the day, The Golden Bachelorette and Bachelor only work if these relationships work. This isn't like the Bachelor or Bachelorette, where you just move on to the next show because of your age. You have much more than that. So here we are, hoping that Joan and Chock figure it out and prove that this show is something we can rely on for everlasting love, even in the golden years.
