Love is Blind season 6 took a lot of heat for the casting, cheating scandals, and hot mess moments. We couldn't turn away from the train wrecks, but the Charlotte cast also gave us a lot of wholesome content that made us fall in love with Love is Blind. Here are the 3 best moments from Love is Blind season 6.
1. Johnny meets Amy's dad
Usually, when we see the families meet on Love is Blind, it's with hesitation that their children/siblings, etc, signed up for the show in the first place. We've seen parents lay down the law (Marissa George's mom to Ramses Prashad, Love is Blind season 7), siblings threaten fiancees (Nancy Rodriguez's brothers to Bartise Bowden, Love is Blind season 3), and friends interrogate new loves (Micah Lussier's besties to Paul Peden, Love is Blind season 4).
While those moments can be fun and are certainly entertaining, the best times are when the families embrace their new potential in-laws. One of the top moments of the series is when Johnny McIntyre met Amy Cortes's father and explained why he loved Amy, what drew him to Love is Blind, and asked for permission to marry Amy. Swoon.
2. Kenneth and the dolphins
Not to be outdone, Kenneth Gorham had his own true love. No, it wasn't his fiancee Brittany Mills unfortunately. The two had a very short and out of the blue break up not long after leaving their honeymoon. Kenneth did, however, find everlasting love and an adoration of the dolphins he met along the way. It seemed from the pods that Brittany and Kenneth had the second strongest and safest connection. They bonded over similar values, the importance of religion and prayer, and shared life goals.
Sometimes what you think will be forever turns into a new hobby. Brittany and Kenneth are best of friends, but not the love story of a lifetime. We can only hope when Kenneth does meet the one, their life together includes annual passes to Discovery Cove's dolphin interaction.
3. Jess delivers an allergy attack without an epipen
This is probably the most memorable moment of all time. Jessica Vestal, upon being broken up with by her potential fiancee Jimmy Presnell, delivered the speech of the century. Without shading his final choice Chelsea Blackwell, Jess managed to put Jimmy in his place and leave all of our jaws on the floor.
In unaired moments from the pods, Jess discussed in post-show interviews she had in depth discussions with Jimmy including his severe allergies, and that included carrying an EpiPen in case of emergencies. It's fair to say he almost needed it when Jess's parting words were "when you see and realize what you missed out on, you are going to choke. You are going to need your EpiPen to open up your airways, because you are going to be in disbelief of what you missed out on."
To be fair, she wasn't lying. They probably wouldn't have worked out in the long term, but neither did his relationship with Chelsea.
